An age-of-sail captain's life.

Project Seaborne is a living 3D ocean you actually sail — and the ports, trade, crew, family and reputation that give the voyage a point.

  • 7crowns own the ports

Sea trial

A free weekend at sea

Project Seaborne is uploaded to Steam and waiting on approval. The moment it clears, the game opens for a free weekend sea trial — a multiplayer stress test, and an open invitation to anyone who wants a ship under them.

Trade your way up from a single hull, gather your crew, and set a course for the Caribbean. The Pirate Lord will be waiting there with a fleet of his own, and he has no intention of being gentle about it.

The date is Steam's to set, not ours. The trial opens on the first weekend after approval comes through, and the Discord carries the date first.

What the sea trial is

Free, and a stress test of a game still in development — not a release. Sea combat is playable: Milestone 1, roughly 85% in, with the remaining gaps named.

What's in it

  • The Game

Two deliberate halves — a simulated 3D ocean at sea, a painted port ashore. The land is the real Earth, with one continent this century hasn't found.

  • At Sea

The ocean, the weather and the ship on it: wave simulation, wind you have to work with, a helmsman, a ship builder, co-op in company — and sea combat you can play today, gaps named.

  • Ashore

Painted harbours with working doors, a market that moves without you, warehouses, contracts, and an estate you build up yourself.

  • Crew & Legacy

Hands who starve, mates who walk, a fleet under your flag, seven crowns, and children who inherit the ship when you die.

  • Where the build is

Every system with an honest status, what's left on each, and when this is targeted for. Sea combat is playable today — its first milestone, with the gaps named plainly.

  • Dev Log

The ship's log for the build: dated notes on what got done, what broke, and what's next, written as the work happens. Newest first.
